PETALING JAYA: An impostor has created a fake Facebook account in the name of Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Taking to Facebook on Monday, Dr Noor Hisham explained that he only maintains one Facebook account and one Facebook page.
His legitimate Facebook personal account is under the name Hisham Abdullah (https://www.facebook.com/drnoorhisham) while the page he maintains is Noor Hisham Abdullah (https://www.facebook.com/DGHisham/).
"The fake/impostor Facebook account 'Abdullah Hisham Noor' does not belong to me. I have lodged report to Facebook to take down this page," he said in a post.
He advised anyone who has fallen prey to the impostor to lodge a police report and send a complaint to Facebook.
"Please be careful that in this day and age we have a full range of information but, more importantly, we must be informed and aware of what is accurate and what is fake," he said.
