IPOH: Seven men have pleaded guilty to committing a fray at the Perak Stadium after the Malaysia Cup semi-final football match between Perak and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) on Sunday.
The seven – Mohamad Noramin Anuar, 29; Wan Nazirul Shahpri Wan Mazran, 23; Daim Mokhtar, 18; Muhammad Afif Ashrani Muhsin, 24; Muhamad Arif Ashraf Muhsin, 21; Mohd Mansur Mat, 28; and Muhammad Aizat Ariff Fadilah, 25 – admitted to the offence before magistrate Siti Hanum Mohmad Sah on Tuesday.
They were jointly charged under Section 160 of the Penal Code.
According to the facts of the case, policemen on duty saw a group of men pushing each other near Gate F of the Perak Stadium following the football match at about 10.50pm.
There was also a brief struggle between the police and one of the accused who tried to escape.
Siti Hanum ordered each of the accused to pay RM500 in default seven days in jail.
Deputy public prosecutor Nurul Qistini Qamarul Abraf prosecuted.
