Our search for the Best Ramadan 2017 Buka Puasa Fare brought us to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur last night. The judges had an unforgettable experience  through-out the evening.

During this Holy Month of Ramadan 2017, the special highlight at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur is their exclusive collaboration with world re-known celebrity and culinary icon Datuk Chef Wan who will be preparing his sumptuous local delicacies for buka puasa ffrom 3 to 11 June, 2017.

With this special collaboration diners will not only get to sample his delicious cuisine but also get to meet him in person.  The diners yesterday had a great time taking wefie's with the charming and pleasant chef, who kept guiding diners and what they should try.

The  dinner is priced at RM178.00 (Diamond Ballroom) and RM218.00 (Mosaic)

The culinary brigade at Mosaic Restaurant led by Chef Zuber and Chef Kamaruddin is showcasing a variety of authentic local dishes and a variety of International favourites to give diners a taste of home this fasting month with items like hummus and Spanish seafood paela.

The Mosaic Restaurant was fully booked as guest broke their fast with one of the most delicious spreads in town.

With an extravagant spread of inviting appetisers,  delicious mains and delectable desserts with more than 50 appealing dishes laid out on the buffet, diners were simply spoilt for choice.

The Judges  decided special mention must be made for the following which were simply Delicious and a must try:

3)Special mention must be made for the Seri Kaya Nangka and the amazing durian & fruit station at the patio of the Lounge Of The Park, where diners were happily downing the durians.

The Indian & Malay Section, Japanese Section, Noodle & Pasta Section and the Grill section was  the crowd favourites.

At the Grill Section, the lamb and sausages were done to Perfection, One of the judges said the Lamb Medallion and Lamb Chops was very good almost fine dining standard.

Those with a sweet tooth can look out for traditional Malay desserts such as nyonya juicy, sweetened green bean porridge, black sticky rice in coconut palm sugar, sticky date pudding, fresh fruits with assorted dips, dried fruits and many more including western delicacies,  pastries and cheese.
