Ramadhan Buka Puasa 2016 @ Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur's Amazing Ramadan Buka Puasa "Royale Buffet" at RM138 Nett

Our search for the Ramadhan Best Buka Puasa Offering among the Five Star Hotels in Kuala Lumpur brought us to the Five Star Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Royale Chulan KL has been the winner for our Best Ramadan Buka Puasa Offering for 2014 and 2015.

Themed "The Royale Buffet" the fare at the Royale Chulan KL was visually stunning . With over 35 sections and over 1000 different items it was nothing less than spectacular.

The spread is so huge our video montage took almost 10 minutes just to show a snapshot of the spread available at the "Royale Buffet" of the Royal Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Priced at RM138,00 , It was truly a Royale Buffet Spread!. If you are  one that treats family and friends or clients, this is one stop you cannot miss in the month of Ramadhan for buka puasa. In fact the buffet is so huge with a tasty spread that it's impossible to try all the food in one visit. So it's no surprise that many dine at the Royale Chulan KL more than once to experience the Unique Gastronomical Experience in a truly amazing ambiance.

One aspect I really like especially during this month of Ramadhan, is wastage is to the bare minimum as food is prepared fresh according to demand.

As you enter the Mahsuri Courtyard it will give you the feeling that you are entering a traditional outdoor village with waterfalls and greenery surrounding the four corners of the courtyard.

The four piece band at one end of the courtyard will be churning out some really nice Malay folk songs to get you in the spirit of Ramadhan. Many times diners were joining in the singing, especially when populars numbers were being played.. Rojer from the recent Season of Dangdut Star is leading the band The band is really good and they are happy to take requests.

As usual we headed to the Whole Roast Lamb section  The Lamb that was being roasted was one of the biggeest we had seen, we were confused for a moment if it was a lamb.  The lamb was tender and juicy with the black pepper sauce, The Lamb Briyani was so tasty and the meat just fell of the bone.

The Satay Section was as usual one of the crowd favourites with some tasty beef and chicken satay

The Aneka Pulut and Lemang Section was a major crowd favourite. The Lemang Pulut Hitam and Pulut Kuning, Chicken and Beef Rendang here is not to be missed. Its one the best in town. The serunding was also very good.

The Shawarma section is hugely but not as popular as here, as they have some great tasting beef and chicken shawarma. The roast chicken shawarma is delicious and not to be missed

It's a trend for many to break their fast with sashimi and sushi and the Japanese section here is one of the best in town. They have some great tasting tempura including tiger prawns too.

The Hidangan Utama Section Had all the Chicken Curry, Beef Rendang, Lamb Curry and Briyani rice . The Chicken Curry was awesome

Other curries in the Hidangan Kampung Section included Ikan Masin Masak Lemak Pucuk Ubi, Ayam Masak Merah, Ikan Tenggiri Gulai Kampung, Daging Kuzi Daun Pudina.

The Ayam Percik and Serai Wangi Section was also amazing

For those who like their traditional fare there was the Nasi Ulam Section

The Pass and Sembor Bukit Hantu Section had some really good fried stuff with all the different sauces.

The Popiah Section was another popular section, the poor chef has to work really fast to roll the popiahs fresh for diners.

The Royale Lambuk Section had three different porridges. The Bubur Lambuk was really good, All the reviewers said that it was one of the best this year.

The Aneka Kerabu Section was with everything you can imagine and want for those who enjoy their Kerabu.

The Ulaman and Herba Kampung Section for those who love it.

The Buyung Corner and condiments

One of our most favourite section wast the Aneka Roti and Roti Canai section. We were taken to our childhood day eating roti canai with condensed milk. You must be laughing i dare you to try it, i bet you will be addicted to it!!!. The murtabak and roti boom was tasty too!.

The Roti Canai Corner was also very good with Murtabak Daging and Ayam, Roti Pisang,

The Indian Corner was fabulous with Thosai and Somosa's. The Masala Thosai is a must try!

The Aneka Tandoori Tempayan Corner is a cannot miss section, with Tandoori Lamb, Chicken and Fish Tikka with Indian Briyani Rice.

To go with all the curries for those who are staying away from rice they had a Bread section with every bread you can imagine from Pita Breads to Wholemeal buns

The Soup Corner was another crowd favourite with even Chicken and Asparagus soup among others.

The Lok Lok Station was very extensive and for those who enjoy it this had one of the most extensive choices.

The BBQ Ikan Bakar and Sambal section was a crowd favourite with some well grilled chicken fish, prawns, squid and kerang

The Gulai Daging Kawah & Fish Head Curry was full of flavor and tasty

Those who reviewed the nasi ayam and duck said it was one of the best they tried. The Udang Goreng Nestum was snapped up as they were really good.

The Aneka Pilihan Hidupan Laut Section was amazing, you cannot get seafood more fresher than this, grilled and cooked to your taste.

At the Drinks section you will have some of the best tasting Mata Kucing, Lemon Lime, Cincau and Jambu Batu. We had a few cups of Nescafe and Teh Tarik and every time it was very good

For those who love Italian they had pizza's and pasta too

The Jemput Jemput Corner

The Stesen Bas Apam Balik Corner.

For Desserts you had all the usual Malaysian Seasonal Fruits.

A Gantung Gantung Section for the Kids.

The Ice Kachang has over 150 condiments and is a must try

The Chocolate and Ice Cream Section

The Bubur Section . Here You will find our best dish of the night the Bubur Pulut Hitam. It was simply the best we ever had. They even had indian payasam. The Bubur Kacang Hijau was also very good.

The bread and butter pudding melted in your mouth and is a must try.

Now for the most beautiful section of the buffet, the Dessert and Pastries Section. This section was simply amazing with every single cake, mousse, biscuit or dessert that you can almost think of.

Verdict:What a feast fit for a King it was, so aptly called the "Royale Buffet". It was an awesome buffet spread and something not to be missed. Food was Great, Ambiance was Awesome and Service Friendly.  We highly recommend The Royale Buffet of the Royal Chulan Kuala Lumpur. They have special deals for senior citizens too.

Setting up something like this is not an easy task and the Royale Chulan can write a handbook on this, Service is good while most of the staff are very warm and friendly. The F&B Director Mr. Malkit Singh and his team have certainly done an awesome job to consistently give the rakyat a fabulous buffet.
