MCMC is investigating several Idiots whose Facebook postings allegedly made fun of the brutal rape and murder of a woman in Indonesia.

MCMC probes FB postings mocking rape, murder of Indonesian

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is investigating several Facebook postings which allegedly made fun of the brutal rape and murder of a factory worker in Indonesia.   
The Jakarta Post reported that the 18-year-old girl’s body was found in her room at the factory boarding house in Kosambi, Tangerang, Banten province, on May 13.   
The daily reported that three suspects, aged between 15 and 24, admitted to smothering the victim with a pillow and took turns to rape her.   
A police investigator was quoted as saying that one suspect stuck the wooden handle of a hoe into the woman’s private parts and kicked it deeper while the victim was alive.made fun of the sadistic crime.  
On May 22, a Facebook user allegedly posted a photo of a man lying topless on the ground with a dustpan between his legs. 
It was captioned: Mangsa rogol terbaru,sebelum ne guna cangkul,tp yang ne menggunakan penyodok sampah.tragis.PDRM action (The latest rape victim, previously done with a hoe, but now with a dustpan. Tragic. PDRM action).  
A photo of a man lying topless on a bed with a guitar between his legs was also found on social media.   
When contacted Tuesday, MCMC strategic communications director Sheikh Raffie Abd Rahman confirmed that the commission had received reports on the “offensive” photos.   
“The postings are offensive and done in bad taste. They are a bad reflection of the individuals who posted them.  
“If social media users come across similar postings, please don’t share or forward the photos.  
“Contact the MCMC consumer complaints bureau so there can be a follow-up on the complaints,” he said.   
Sheikh Raffie said MCMC was seriously looking into the matter and would take action against those found guilty of circulating the images online.
