Jealous man beats girlfriend for Facebook photo praises she received

GEORGE TOWN: A man beat up his girlfriend after he found another man praising and admiring her photograph on Facebook last Thursday.
The 28-year-old woman had gone to the 52-year-old man's house at 11.30pm in Taman Pisang Awak, Kampung Melayu to explain the matter. An argument broke out.

Timur Laut District police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the boyfriend slapped, kicked, punched and hit the woman with an axe, causing her to sustain a black eye, bruises on the arm and body.
"The man also chased the woman out of his house, prompting her to lodge a police report on the incident.
"The couple have been living together over the past two years and have a four-month-old daughter together. They, however, never registered their marriage," ACP Faridalatrash told reporters here.
He said police were looking for the man, who had four previous records related to drugs and other crimes. - Bernama
