A RM400,000 BMW Z4 Goes Up In Flames, Driver Escapes Unhurt
SHAH ALAM: A BMW Z4 coupe was completely engulfed in flames moments after its driver managed to exit the vehicle.
In the incident, the luxury sports coupe started emitting smoke and burst into flames without warning as the vehicle was being driven along Persiaran Jalan Kristal, Section 7 yesterday, Kosmo! online reports.
In the 2pm incident, the 39-year-old businessman managed to escape before the fire spread and burnt nearly 90 per cent of the car.
The man, who is from Klang, was driving northbound as he headed down to Section 7 from i-City.
Media reports state that smoke was seen billowing out from the front passenger side before flames appeared and spread to other parts of the vehicle.
Section 15 Fire and Rescue Department senior officer II, Mohd Sufi Yunus said they received a call about the incident at about 2:23 pm yesterday.
