Man gets jail, rotan for raping underage sister
ALOR STAR: The Sessions Court today sentenced a 27-year-old odd job worker to 16 years' jail and 10 strokes of rotan for raping his underaged sister two years ago.
Judge Ooi Sheow Yean passed the sentence on the accused after he was found guilty of raping his 14-year-old sister at their house in Jalan Langgar here on Aug 24 and Nov 29, 2012.
Ooi, in her judgement, said the defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt against prosecution.
The father of two was sentenced to eight years' jail and five whippings for each charges, which ordered by court to run separately starting from the day he was arrested.
Prosecution was conducted Mohamad Rizal Fadzil by while the accused was represented by Sharif Matt.
