Car plunges from 4th floor, injures driver

KOTA KINABALU: A 52-year-old man suffered broken ribs and bleeding in the lungs today after the Perodua MyVi car he was reversing plunged from the fourth floor parking unit at the Asia City Complex near here this morning.

The 7.30am incident is believed to have occured when the driver was reversing his car. 
 
The driver, who was pinned inside the car following the impact of the crash was later removed by the fire and rescue department personnel before rushed to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital here. 
 
A spokesman of the Fire and Rescue Department, when contacted, said firemen took about six minutes to remove the man from the damaged car.
