2 Malaysians Among Over 20 People Hurt in Bomb Blast In Danok

SOUTH THAILAND BOMB BLASTS: 2 Malaysians 

among 24 injured in Danok blast


Thai authorities had confirmed the series of bombings in Danok, Sadao and near Padang Besar at noon,
A motorcycle exploded in front of a Thai police station about 1km away from Padang Besar CIQ, another in Danok and the third blast near Hotel Oliver in Sadao.

Following the incident, tourists including Malaysians, quickly fled the town, resulting in a 1.5km traffic crawl from Danok towards Bukit Kayu Hitam CIQ complex.

BUKIT KAYU HITAM: Two Malaysians were injured along with over 20 others, mostly Thais, in a series of blasts in the Thai border town of Danok, in Sadao district on Sunday.
The blast occurred some 1km from Immigration, Customs and Quarantine Complex  in Bukit Kayu Hitam in Padang Besar.
Malaysian consul-general in Songkhla, Mohd Faizal Razali, confirmed that the two Malaysians were injured in the blast that occurred at about 11.40am.
The town was rocked by a series of four blasts from bombs hidden in parked motorcycles. 
According to The Nation, the first attack took place in front of the police station in Sadao while the second was in a parking space at the Sadao police station. 

Initial investigation showed both attacks were caused by explosives hidden in motorcycles, which were parked in the areas.
The third explosion was in front of Oliver Hotel at Ban Dan Nok while the fourth was in a lane near McDonalds in the same area.
