This year the prestigious international contest had two winners: one was determined by a professional jury and the other by a fan vote.

After the final performance the jury gave their verdict, which named Belarus’ Svetlana Kuznetsova Mrs. Universe 2013. The Malaysian representative won people’s hearts as she took the first place in the voting, Natalia Trofimova said.

Svetlana Kuznetsova won the first national contest Miss Belarus in 1998. She works in the field of education and fashion industry and also does charity work. Svetlana Kuznetsova has considerable experience of participation in international contests. She was the finalist of Miss Europe 1999, took part in the Miss World 2000 contest and clinched the Missis Beauty Millennium International 2012 title.

The contest Mrs Universe 2013 was held on the island of Aruba located in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea, not far from Venezuela. The final show was held in the concert hall of the hotel where the participants of the contest stayed. It took them one week to prepare for the final. The ultimate event of the contest was a sell-out.

“The show began with a samba show, followed by the bikini contest in which Svetlana was definitely the best due to her marvelous body, posture and confidence on the catwalk! The evening gown competition amazed everyone with beauty and glitz. The evening gown of the Belarusian representative was gorgeous. The tail of the gown resembled butterfly’s wings. It seemed that Svetlana was gracefully flying over the stage. I would like to thank young Belarusian designer Yulia Latushkina for this dress,” Natalia Trofimova said.

The contest Mrs. Universe is similar to Miss World or Miss Universe but its contestants must be married and can have children.
